Gracie was dropped off in the parking lot of the Blaimore Kanata Inn on December 30, 2023. Gracie has infection in both ears and we have determined she has a food allergy that we are working on. Gracie will not be ready for adoption for quite some time. She is starting to show some small improvement but it will definitely be a very slow process for her. Such a lovely little lady to have been treated so badly.
UPDATE: March 14, 2024: We now have Gracie's food allergy under control and she is feeling much better. We also have her ears on the mend and hope the infection will be cleared up very soon - so close. Gracie's personality is finally showing through - she is a happy dog and finding that it is fun to play and talk and just be content with her life now. She is outgoing and affectionate and looking for a good home where she can be cared for properly and loved and happy!! Gracie gets along with the dogs at the shelter and any who pass by. She is great with adults and kids. On a few vet trips, Gracie had to share the vehicle with a cat on occasion and didn't really mind that she had a feline travel companion. From her reaction, we feel she would be just fine with a cat or two in her new home. All around, a great little girl just looking for love and a new home!
